Each month, youth-led environmental initiatives will be featured on First Here, Then Everywhere. These initiatives illustrate the actions that are being taken around the world to mitigate global warming.

My name is Nisha Varghese. I am the oldest of three kids. In spite of Cerebral Palsy--a condition which makes it impossible for me to walk and use my right arm properly--started Nisha’s Clean Water For All Campaign and achieved the following objectives:
- By March 5 2012: to build a well and raise $6,500.00 for “The Water Project, Inc,” an organization that provides clean water to communities all over the world who suffer needlessly without it. I raised $7,862.
- To highlight the plight of those who do not have easy access to clean water. I raised sufficient awareness.
- To prove to the world that anybody can make a difference, change the world, and be an inspiration to someone else. I showed the world--through the internet--that anyone can make a difference.
